About Us
There are many lodges in Chitwan. Here is what makes us different — and why travellers who come once keep coming back.
Chitwan Bamboo Lodge is a family-owned and family-run retreat — not a chain hotel. When you stay with us you deal directly with the owners and the people who care most about your experience.
Every member of our team is from the Meghauli area. Your guides, cooks, and hosts are local Tharu and Nepali people who bring genuine knowledge of the land, wildlife, and culture you are here to experience.
Our lodge is constructed almost entirely from locally harvested bamboo and natural materials, using traditional techniques. Staying here is genuinely low-impact — your footprint is as light as it gets.
Our lead naturalists and safari guides have over two decades of experience tracking wildlife in Chitwan National Park. They know the terrain, the animals, and the best spots before first light.
We are situated in Meghauli — directly on the edge of the park's most productive wildlife zone, on the banks of the Rapti River. Most lodges are kilometres away. We are right here.
We keep guest numbers low by design. Small groups mean better wildlife sightings, more personal attention from guides, quieter mornings, and a feeling of genuine wilderness — not a tourist conveyor belt.
Book directly with us for the best rates and a personalised welcome from the lodge family.
